
Anita Chaudhary, 30, has served as a forest guard in Shergarh Sanctuary, Baran, for ten years. Since 2021, she has rescued approximately 500 animals, including crocodiles, and filed over 50 FIRs against poachers. She received WWF's Machchli National Award worth Rs 50,000. Chaudhary conducts unpredictable patrols, sometimes at 2 AM, to combat illegal tendu patta trade, mining, and poaching. She lives in a two-room chowki within the sanctuary.
