Haryana Police takes down over 6,000 links and apps in campaign against objectional online content

What Happened

Haryana Police Director General Ajay Singhal warned against promoting gun culture and misleading content on social media. The force removed 6,083 objectionable URLs, apps, and websites in 2026. Meta platforms accounted for 4,278 removals, YouTube 1,172, X 372, Telegram 53, Reddit 36, and Snapchat 5. Other platforms saw 167 removals. Strict action will follow violations.
