
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence conducted Operation Dhahabu Blitz at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on April 8. Officers intercepted 24 foreign nationals arriving from Nairobi attempting to smuggle gold. Authorities seized 29.37 kilograms of gold worth ₹37.74 crore, including 25.10 kg gold bars and 4.27 kg jewellery. The women were trained carriers for an organized syndicate. Investigation continues to identify the ringleaders.
