What Happened
A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by unidentified persons near Cheyyar town in Tiruvannamalai district on April 19. The assault occurred while she rode a two-wheeler in her grandmother's village. The survivor returned to Kancheepuram where her health deteriorated, leading to hospital admission. Police registered a case and detained three suspects for interrogation.
