Gaza journalists mourn Al Jazeera’s Wishah, killed by Israel

What Happened

Mohammed Wishah, an Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent, was killed Wednesday when an Israeli drone struck his car on a Gaza coastal road. The journalist, who worked for the network since 2018, was driving home to Bureij refugee camp. His death marks the 12th Al Jazeera journalist killed since October 2023. Colleagues reported Wishah faced an incitement campaign. Palestinian media workers say 262 journalists have died in the conflict.
