
Three Pahwa brothers fled Sialkot during Partition in 1947, establishing a bicycle parts business in Ludhiana. After incorporating in 1951, they manufactured their first 250 bicycles in October 1952. Avon Cycles now produces over 3 million bicycles annually across 250 models, including electric variants. The company exports to 65 countries with a turnover exceeding ₹1,100 crore, becoming India's leading bicycle manufacturer.
