
Mizoram government signed a Memorandum of Settlement with Hmar People's Convention-Democratic on Tuesday, identified as the last remaining underground armed group in the state. The agreement, signed by Home Secretary David Lalthantluanga and HPC-D leader Lalhmingthanga Sanate in Sakawrdai, includes arms surrender for 43 cadres on April 30. The deal focuses on development initiatives for Hmar-dominated Sinlung Hills Council region, including budgetary allocation and improved connectivity.
