Flying with Delta Airlines? Your luggage just got expensive — here’s how much you’ll pay

What Happened

Delta Air Lines will increase checked baggage fees for domestic and short-haul international flights starting Wednesday. The first checked bag will cost $45, up $10; the second $55, up $10; and the third $200, up $50. Rising jet fuel costs from Middle East tensions and Strait of Hormuz disruptions prompted the increase. JetBlue also raised fees recently.
