The family of Conor Hylton, a 26-year-old University of Connecticut dental student, sued Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus for wrongful death. Hylton died in August 2024 in the ICU, which was overseen remotely by a teledoctor with no on-site intensivist. He was admitted with alcohol-induced pancreatitis and dehydration. A government investigation found delayed intubation, poor communication, and substandard care contributed to his death.
