Former Gujarat IPS officer M.L. Ninama and ex-AAP leader Raju Karpada joined the BJP on April 9, 2026, ahead of state local body elections. Ninama, 59, from Aravalli district, took voluntary retirement three months early from his position as Inspector General of Police in the Traffic Branch. Minister P.C.
