What Happened

An eight-year-old boy, Aljo, died after a snakebite while sleeping at his home in Mattathur, Thrissur district, Kerala on April 19. His ten-year-old brother Aloj was also bitten and remains critical in a private hospital. Both children were sleeping when the incident occurred.
