The Election Commission published final electoral rolls in Urdu for 46 Uttar Pradesh Assembly constituencies where at least 30 percent speak Urdu. Net deletions of electors in BJP-won seats total 71,342, significantly higher than SP-won seats at 43,926. The Samajwadi Party won 23 of these seats with 27,517-vote average margin; BJP won 22 with 17,832-vote average margin. Muslim MLAs were elected from 16 seats.
