DU’s Master of Operational Research programme not in UGC list, likely to get MSc tag, again

What Happened
University of Delhi plans to rename its Master of Operational Research programme to MSc (Operational Research) after graduates faced difficulties in job applications and further studies. The degree was not listed in the UGC's approved degrees list since its 2019 renaming. The department has requested retrospective relief for all past graduates. The proposal received final approval January 2, 2026, and will be presented to the Academic Council next week.
