What Happened
Delhi Police arrested 35-year-old Anand Kumar for operating an online romance scam targeting over 500 women across India. Kumar created fake profiles posing as doctors, lawyers, and businessmen on social media and dating platforms. He built emotional connections, then fabricated emergencies to solicit money totaling ₹2 crore. Police recovered four smartphones, eight SIM cards, and gold jewellery. Kumar was arrested in West Bengal on March 22.
