What Happened
Punjab's anti-sacrilege Bill passed unanimously in the Vidhan Sabha. The Dharam Yudhh Morcha, protesting since February 24, welcomed the legislation but said they would decide on ending their dharna after reviewing the complete text. The Bill includes life imprisonment and increased fines. A protester has been atop a tower since October 2024. Delhi Akali Dal chief criticized the Bill as politically motivated.
