
Delhi's Excise department collected Rs 6,300 crore from April 2024 to March 2025, a 10.5% increase from Rs 5,700 crore previously. The government set a new revenue target of Rs 7,200 crore through excise duty for the current financial year. Improvements include reducing dry days, adding 1,700 liquor brands, opening 11 microbreweries, and conducting raids against illegal smuggling. Average monthly collection reached Rs 525 crore.
