What Happened

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway on April 14. The 12,000 crore rupee project reduces Delhi-Dehradun travel time from 6 hours to 2.5 hours. The 100 kmph expressway connects Akshardham Temple in Delhi through Uttar Pradesh to Dehradun. It passes through Baghpat, Baraut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, and Saharanpur. The expressway offers faster travel than trains and includes a Haridwar spur and Char Dham Highway connection.
