Chandigarh Police arrests Rajasthan man in crypto investment fraud of over $40,000

What Happened

Chandigarh cybercrime police arrested 29-year-old Jitendra Singh from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan on April 8 for cryptocurrency investment fraud. A city resident was cheated of $40,704 between October and November 2025 through fake TRD-NFT company promises of daily returns. Police coordinated with Binance exchange to trace the fraudulent wallet registered in Singh's name. During interrogation, Singh disclosed he facilitated fraud by providing his wallet for victim transactions and connected with others in Haryana.
