The Museum of Modern Art in New York is hosting Marcel Duchamp's first US retrospective since 1973, featuring over 300 works spanning 1900 to 1968. The exhibition explores Duchamp's radical redefinition of art and authorship. It includes his famous readymades like Fountain, an inverted urinal submitted in 1917, and Nude Descending a Staircase, No. 2. Fountain was voted in 2004 as the most influential artwork of the 20th century by 500 British art professionals.
