Ceasefire in Lebanon ‘as important’ as in Iran, says Ghalibaf

What Happened

Iran's parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf told Lebanon's parliament speaker Nabih Berri that a Lebanon ceasefire is equally important as an Iran ceasefire. Ghalibaf led Iran's delegation at US-Iran talks in Pakistan last week. Tehran insists any Iran ceasefire must include Lebanon. Berri reported 1.2 million Lebanese displaced by Israeli attacks. Israel's forces have killed over 2,000 in Lebanon since March.
