CBSE introduced a new Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence curriculum for classes III to VIII, launching in 2026-27. The program aims to develop logical thinking and AI understanding. However, experts question whether learning outcomes match students' maturity levels. Class VI students must understand machine versus human intelligence and three AI methodologies—concepts typically taught at undergraduate level. The curriculum lacks research support for primary-level AI education and doesn't address vulnerable children's perception of AI as all-knowing companions.
