What Happened

The CBI arrested a fugitive on April 13, 2026, in connection with the July 2014 disappearance of two Kolkata residents. The accused, identified as Bhola Singh alias Gautam Kumar or Amit Sharma, was tracked to Surat, Gujarat. He had been absconding for twelve years. The Calcutta High Court referred the case to CBI during petition hearings in 2015.
