Punjagutta police registered a case against singer Mangli, also known as Satyavathi, her brother, and others for alleged cheating, financial fraud, and criminal intimidation. According to the complaint, approximately 100 people were induced to invest in a microfinance scheme promising high returns through film financing. Investors reported neither receiving promised returns nor their original investments.
