
Ghana Football Association appointed Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz as head coach of the men's national team. The 73-year-old left his Oman position last month. Queiroz will make his fifth consecutive World Cup appearance as coach. Ghana parted with Otto Addo in March after friendly defeats. Queiroz previously coached Portugal, Iran, Egypt, Japan, Colombia, and South Africa. Ghana face Croatia, England, and Panama in Group L.
