Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said nearly 90 percent of cargo backlog at Indian ports caused by Strait of Hormuz blockade has been cleared through timely intervention and monitoring. Vessels had stopped traveling to West Asia, causing container buildup. Cargo was redirected to domestic markets or countries of origin.
