What Happened
Campbell Wilson has resigned as Air India CEO, ending his tenure before the scheduled 2027 conclusion. Wilson took charge in July 2022 after Ilker Ayci withdrew. The Tata Group acquired Air India in January 2022. Wilson faced criticism following a June 2023 crash near Ahmedabad that killed 241 of 242 passengers. Air India Express also lacks a chief since March.
