
India's Union cabinet approved ₹41,533.81 crore nutrient-based subsidy for phosphatic and potassic fertilizers for kharif 2026. The allocation increased by ₹4,317 crore compared to kharif 2025, aiming to keep fertilizer prices affordable amid volatile global markets. The subsidy covers 28 fertilizer grades including DAP, applicable April 1 to September 30, 2026.
