Building Pune: Pune Metro to launch own feeder bus service for last-mile connectivity

What Happened

Pune Metro is introducing a dedicated feeder bus service to improve last-mile connectivity and increase passenger numbers. The metro seeks proposals from interested companies. Current daily ridership stands at 1.88 lakh, expected to reach 2.75 lakh after Line 3 opens. A pilot project will test mini or eight-seater buses at one or two stations. Feeder service will operate every 5-10 minutes within 25 meters of origin and destination points.
