What Happened
Border Security Force constable Mithun Mandal from West Bengal died after being shot during patrol in Manipur's Ukhrul district on April 10. He was struck by a bullet on his left shoulder in Mongkot Chepu area around 4:30 pm and rushed to RIMS hospital where he succumbed. Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh condemned the killing. Security forces launched search operations to apprehend the militants responsible.
