What Happened
Aaron Beggs from Northern Ireland assisted exhausted runner Ajay Haridasse to complete the Boston Marathon after he collapsed near the finish line. Brazilian runner Robson De Oliveira also helped support Haridasse. The incident, captured on video, went viral on social media. Defending champions John Korir and Sharon Lokedi won the 130th Boston Marathon edition, with Korir setting a new course record.
