What Happened
The Bombay High Court directed Patra Chawl residents in Goregaon to take possession of rehabilitation flats by April 30, or vacant units will be repurposed for public use. The court expressed concerns about illegal transfers of flats creating revenue losses. Only 39 of 672 families have taken possession so far. MHADA completed the project after developer default in 2018.
