Around 250 members of the B'nei Menashe Jewish community from Manipur and Mizoram arrived in Tel Aviv Thursday under an Israeli government relocation programme. The community, numbering approximately 7,000, claims descent from the Manasseh tribe of ancient Israel. Members belong to Mizo and Kuki tribal groups and have migrated to Israel since the 1990s. This marks the first official Israeli-sponsored relocation batch.
