
Asha Bhosle, legendary playback singer, died at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on April 12, 2026, aged 92. Multi-organ failure following cardiac arrest caused her death. She recorded over 12,500 songs in ten Indian languages across eight decades. Bhosle holds the Guinness World Record for most studio recordings. She received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Padma Vibhushan.
