
Asha Bhosle, India's iconic singer and sister of Lata Mangeshkar, died at 92 on Sunday from multi-organ failure. She was admitted to Breach Candy hospital Saturday with chest infection and exhaustion. Tributes poured in from national leaders. Born in 1938, Bhosle holds the Guinness World Record for most recorded artist with over 12,000 songs in 20 languages. She received Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000.
