Another spyware maker caught distributing fake Android snooping apps

What Happened

Italian digital rights organization Osservatorio Nessuno discovered spyware called Morpheus disguised as a phone update app. Researchers linked it to IPS, an Italian company providing surveillance technology to governments for over 30 years. Morpheus steals broad device data, reportedly used by law enforcement and intelligence agencies across 20+ countries.
