What Happened

Air India unveiled its first retrofitted Boeing 787 aircraft on Sunday as part of a USD 400 million modernization program. The Tata Group-owned carrier transformed the aircraft from two-class to three-class configuration with new seats and inflight entertainment systems. Air India plans to retrofit 25 remaining B787 aircraft over the next year and complete the program by 2027.
