What Happened

Air India CEO Campbell Wilson has resigned from his position, a source confirmed. Wilson was appointed in July 2022 after Ilker Ayci declined the role. Tata Group acquired Air India in January 2022. Wilson faced scrutiny following a June 2025 crash near Ahmedabad that killed 241 of 242 passengers aboard a Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Air India Express also lacks leadership following its MD's March resignation.
