Delhi High Court dismissed Christian Michel James's plea seeking release from jail in the AgustaWestland VVIP helicopter scam case. James, an alleged middleman, faces charges of bribing officials to secure a Rs 3,600-crore deal for 12 helicopters. The court found no merit in his argument that trying him for offences under IPC Section 467 violated extradition treaty provisions. James was extradited from UAE in December 2018. He completed maximum seven-year sentence for extradition offences by December 2025.
