France's interior ministry is examining legal mechanisms to prevent US rapper Kanye West from performing in Marseille on June 11. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez is determined to stop the concert due to West's past antisemitic remarks and controversial statements. The UK previously barred West from entering the country. Marseille's mayor opposes hosting the rapper, stating the city shouldn't platform those promoting hatred. West released a track titled "Heil Hitler" in May 2025, which was banned by streaming platforms.
