Sudan's civil war, which began April 15, 2023, between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, has created one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. An estimated 14 million people have been displaced, with 4.4 million crossing borders. Approximately 40,000 people have died. The conflict features violence including executions, sexual assaults, and drone strikes. Mediation efforts by the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and UAE have failed to produce a ceasefire.
