What Happened
Four Artemis II astronauts completed a 10-day mission to the Moon's far side in April 2025. They received a recorded message from late astronaut Jim Lovell, who flew to the Moon twice. The crew identified two previously undiscovered craters. Mission specialist Jeremy Hansen named one crater "Carroll" to honor Reid Wiseman's deceased wife. The mission returned with scientific data and renewed perspective on Earth's unity.
