6 family members drown in Cauvery river during Urus gathering in Mysuru

What Happened

Six people, including three children, drowned in Karnataka's Cauvery river Sunday near Arkeshwara Temple during an Urus religious gathering. A child slipped into water around 3 pm; others attempting rescue were swept away. Three were rescued. Chief Minister announced Rs 5 lakh compensation per victim family.
