Charles Sobhraj, 42, was arrested by Bombay police at a liquor bar in Mapusa, Goa on April 8, 1986, three weeks after escaping Delhi's Tihar Jail. He attempted to draw a revolver during arrest. Three accomplices—David Hall, Ajay Singh, and Dev Kumar Tyagi—were also captured. Delhi Police produced production warrants to bring all four to court by April 9.
