What Happened
Three people died and ten others suffered critical injuries in a head-on collision between a speeding car and an autorickshaw on Basanti Highway in West Bengal's Basirhat on Wednesday morning around 7 am. The car lost control and rammed the three-wheeler with such force it was crushed. Two died at the scene, one during hospital transport. Ten injured were transferred to Kolkata hospital for advanced treatment. Police seized both vehicles and launched an investigation.
