What Happened
A 19-year-old college student, Siya Guleria, was killed by a bike-borne assailant in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, Monday morning. The victim was attacked while traveling to college in Gopalpur town around 9:30 am. The assailant allegedly slit her throat and stabbed her neck and arm before fleeing. Police apprehended the suspect and initiated investigation. Opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur criticized the state's law and order situation.
