Western Railway's suburban services were disrupted for nearly five hours on Sunday after overhead equipment failure between Bhayandar and Naigaon stations at 7:52 am. The breakdown cancelled 15-20 trains and delayed approximately 50 others. A tower wagon from Vasai Road assisted in clearing stranded trains using diesel power. Services were restored at 12:47 pm. Commuters experienced delays across distant stretches due to cascading effects.
