
Thirteen people died at a Vedanta thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh's Singhitarai village when a boiler pipeline burst around 2:30 pm, releasing superheated steam at approximately 600 degrees on workers eating lunch. Twenty-three others sustained injuries. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered. Vedanta stated medical assistance is being provided, and investigations are underway. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai promised strict action against those found guilty.
